The Brescia-Salò cycling route

The route runs alongside the Naviglio Grande Bresciano from Mazzano to Gavardo, between Gavardo and Villanuova, alongside the river Chiese, then descends from Roè Volciano to Salò, for a total length of 28 km on a cycle path.
There are numerous elements of natural, architectural, historical value and industrial archeology that can be observed along the route or in its vicinity.

From Salò to Lonato between art, history and gastronomy

This is the area between Lake Garda and the moraine hills, from Padenghe sul Garda to Puegnago sul Garda. Includes both the riparian and hilly municipalities. The hinterland of Valtenesi is striking for its medieval villages, parishes and castles, immersed in suggestive hills adorned with olive trees and vineyards, reminding scents and flavors of the local cuisine.

It can also be an opportunity to taste typical products or take a guided tour with wine tasting in one of the many wineries in the area.

From Salò to San Michele all lake view

For those who do not mind the asphalt and the climbs, this ring ride will pay off widely with breathtaking views of the lake.
The climb is never too demanding and the road traveled with very low traffic.
Going up from Salò, proceed towards the hamlet of Serniga, on Mount San Bartolomeo, and then descend from San Michele (hamlet of Gardone Riviera) until reaching the Vittoriale degli Italiani.
This path can be done without distinction both in one direction and the other.

San Michele and Serniga are also two starting points for paths ranging from the xc-trail to downhill.

Cisano-San Felice del Benaco cycle path

This route, always starting from Salò, will take you through the picturesque village of Cisano di San Felice - a stop at Palazzo Cominelli for periodic exhibitions is recommended - to continue on a dirt road through olive groves to the Baia del Vento and the small port of San Felice del Benaco.
It is a path suitable for everyone, 90% of which is located on an exclusive cycle lane.
Once in the Baia del Vento, we strongly recommend a small detour to the church of San Fermo!

Valsabbia cycle path

Following the signs for the Salò-Brescia cycle path, when you reach Roè Volciano, continue in the opposite direction towards Sabbio Chiese, skirting the Chiese river on this beautiful cycle path surrounded by greenery. The bottom is mainly white or asphalted road.
Apart from the initial difference in height to reach Roè Volciano, the route is mainly flat with very slight slopes on the way out.
The stretch is particularly suitable in summer, as it is always fresh.

Not only cycle paths ... technical trails not to be missed!

The area surrounding Salò offers a territory to be discovered, with endless absolutely exciting trails, for the most passionate bikers.
Most of the trails are marked, but not marked. A guide or a GPS is often essential, but fun is guaranteed!

To cite a few examples we recommend the area of ​​San Michele in Gardone Riviera with the Val di Sur, Mount Spino up to the summit of Pizzocolo, to descend from Mount Lavino or from the Valle delle Camerate or Campei de Sima to the Cartiere valley in Toscolano Maderno, or in the opposite direction towards Vobarno with the Lodroni path.

Behind Salò, Mount San Bartolomeo and Serniga are a good technical test for those who love Enduro and Downhill.

Between Valsabbia and the lake there are Mount Magno, Mount Ere and Cargiù, which with their canyons with red and white stones and technical steps in freeride routes have extreme charm.

If you want to combine fast and fun trails with a nice picnic in the company ... then Mount Tesio is what you are looking for!

Without forgetting the Rocca di Manerba park: breathtaking views of the lake and a real technical gym made of rocks, single trails and loose.

Those who are more cross-country oriented will have their ideal amusement park in Valtenesi. But here too toboggans, fast descents and technical passages are not desired.

Our suggestion is to have you accompanied safely with one of the many guides available. You won't be disappointed!
